Dubai Fashion Week: A Global Fashion Spectacle Returns in September

Dubai Fashion Week is not just an event; it's a celebration of global fashion, creativity, and innovation, solidifying Dubai’s place among the world's fashion capitals.

Dubai Fashion Week is set to make a grand return this September, promising a showcase of cutting-edge fashion and global style. Co-founded by Dubai Design District (D3) and the Arab Fashion Council, DFW is gearing up for its spring/summer 2025 season, scheduled just ahead of New York Fashion Week from September 1 to 7.

This season’s preliminary lineup features over 30 designers from around the world, including France, India, Indonesia, Italy, Kuwait, Lebanon, Libya, Malaysia, Palestine, the UAE, and the UK. These designers will present a diverse range of collections, from streetwear to haute couture, with internationally renowned guest designers set to be announced soon. Previous editions have seen fashion legends like Carolina Herrera, Iris van Herpen, and Jean Paul Gaultier grace the DFW runway.

DFW will once again transform Dubai Design District into the epicenter of global fashion, complemented by a series of exclusive citywide events. Expect 40 invite-only presentations, private dinners, and collection launches hosted by top-tier global brands and industry leaders.

The first three days of DFW SS25 will shine a spotlight on haute couture, while the final three days will feature ready-to-wear collections from designers such as Alia Bastamam, April & Alex, BLSSD, and Weinsanto. This season will also introduce the International Buyers Programme, aimed at expanding the reach of designers by connecting them with global retailers through a new ‘Tier Benefits’ platform.

Khadija Al Bastaki, Senior Vice President of D3, highlighted Dubai’s growing influence in the fashion world, stating, “Dubai Fashion Week is setting the global fashion agenda. The diversity and talent on our runway are shaping the industry and opening up unprecedented opportunities for designers and buyers alike.”

Mohammed Aqra, Chief Strategy Officer of the Arab Fashion Council, echoed this sentiment, adding, “Our Buyers Programme is about creating meaningful connections between global retailers and the innovative designers showcased at Dubai Fashion Week. The positive feedback from the international fashion community underscores the importance of DFW as a key player on the global stage.”

DFW’s strategic media partner, Meta, will also return with ‘Threads Talks V3.0,’ a series of insightful panel discussions and seminars featuring industry experts. These sessions will delve into the latest fashion trends and challenges, providing a platform for a dynamic exchange of ideas.
