Whales, Waves, and Wonder: Inside Dubai’s Most Soul-Stirring Art Experience
An intimate night of whales, waves, and wonder blended art, meditation, and meaning for just 45 lucky guests in a Dubai villa

Something incredible was stirring beneath the surface of Dubai's art scene on May 23, 2025. Not in a gallery. Not in a theater. But inside a private villa where only 45 specially invited guests witnessed Seven Waves of Whales - a compelling immersive performance by visionary artist JUNA.

Organized by communication agency JULS, this intimate experience blurred the boundaries between visual art, live performance, guided meditation, and humanitarian spirit. It wasn’t just an event. It was a journey, a story, a call to connection.

Art, But Make It Global
At the heart of the evening were seven stunning acrylic paintings, each capturing a majestic whale soaring above one of the seven continents. The whales, timeless symbols of wisdom and strength, floated not just in pigment but in purpose. Each canvas told a tale of global unity, reflecting Earth’s deep interconnectedness through the lens of soulful symbolism.
As each painting was unveiled, Dmitry Zakharov stepped into the spotlight with a live performance that brought the canvas to life. He glided across continents in that performance, embodying their change, harnessing their energy, and coming back complete circle to Dubai - a poetic indication that the journey is always a homecoming.

Senses on High Alert
This was not your typical art event with appetizers and polite applause. This was sensory immersion at its high level. Guests were enveloped in smells of the sea, surrounded by deep ocean ambient soundscapes. Guests were washed by wave-like lighting cycling through the room from one colour to another. The entire place was alive with presence.
There was breathwork.
There was meditation.
There was storytelling straight from JUNA herself. An emotional narrative that turned art into empathy, and viewing into feeling.
Art That Gives Back
Beyond the elegance and emotion, the project had a heart as big as a whale’s. Every piece of art sold will support two UAE animal shelters, making the event not just unforgettable, but undeniably impactful.
“I believe the whale is a metaphor for the soul,” JUNA shared. “A guide between worlds that carries ancient memory. Through each painting, I tried to convey a sense of connection with our planet, its pain, its beauty, and its hope.”
This wasn’t performance for applause. It was art with a mission, swimming in meaning.
Backed by Belief
The experience was made possible through the support of Boxler Investments, with a wave of media partners including KOLO, Sal’Ad Labs, BEST IN MEDIA, Song of The Earth, and Sugar helping the story ripple out into the world.
