Grab your calendars, start planning, and get ready for more time off in 2025! It’s going to be a year of relaxation, celebration, and making memories!
Are you already dreaming of your next big getaway? You're in luck! The UAE has just revealed its public holidays for 2025, and it looks like it could be a year packed with extra long weekends and bonus days off. With at least 12 public holidays confirmed—and possibly more if Ramadan stretches to 30 days—2025 is shaping up to be a fantastic year for those who love their holidays!
Major Changes Announced: More Flexibility for Your Holidays
The early announcement of UAE public holidays for 2025, made in May, comes with a game-changing twist. Thanks to a new resolution under the UAE Cabinet Resolution No. 27 of 2024, holidays that fall on a weekend might be carried over to a weekday! Imagine getting an extra Friday or Monday off just because the holiday fell on a Saturday or Sunday. While this won't apply to major holidays like Eid Al Fitr or Eid Al Adha, many other holidays could be shifted, making your long weekends even longer!
This exciting change applies to both the private and public sectors, meaning more people can enjoy extended breaks.
