Al-Futtaim Real Estate announced the opening of the largest food hall in the Middle East, located in Dubai Festival City Mall. Named The Market Island, this expansive food hall spans 70,000 square feet on the ground floor at the northern end of the mall, offering a seating capacity for over 3,500 guests.

The Market Island features more than 50 outlets and restaurants, including a licensed section, providing a variety of dining options to cater to different tastes and preferences. The interiors, designed by the furniture brand Leta, showcase a blend of wooden and marble panels complemented by lush greenery, creating an inviting and stylish atmosphere.

Hayssam Hajjar, Director of Asset Management UAE at Al-Futtaim Real Estate, expressed his excitement about the new venture, stating, "We are excited to unveil The Market Island at Dubai Festival City Mall, marking a new era of culinary excellence in the heart of Dubai Festival City. Dubai has long been celebrated for its culinary diversity and innovation, and The Market Island embodies this spirit with its impressive lineup of international brands and luxurious culinary experiences, promising to elevate Dubai’s dining scene to unprecedented heights."

In addition to its extensive dining options, The Market Island will offer a variety of engaging activities every weekend, from Friday to Sunday. Visitors can enjoy performances by artists and DJs, explore weekend markets, and participate in workshops designed for both adults and children. This blend of food and entertainment aims to make The Market Island a vibrant social hub for residents and tourists alike.

Dubai Festival City Mall, which recorded a footfall of 23 million in 2023, is already a bustling shopping destination with over 400 outlets, including renowned fashion and beauty brands, 50 restaurants and cafés, and the largest food court in Dubai. The addition of The Market Island further enhances the mall’s appeal, solidifying its status as a premier lifestyle and entertainment destination in the region.
