Jacquemus Takes Over Monte-Carlo Beach in a Riviera Dream Come True

Sun, style and stripes collide as Jacquemus reimagines Monte-Carlo Beach with a fashion-forward twist and a whole lot of Côte d’Azur charm

In one of the season’s most stylish takeovers, Jacquemus has arrived at Monte-Carlo Beach to sprinkle Riviera glamour across every sun-drenched corner. This is not just a hotel makeover. It’s a fashion-fueled escape, curated by Simon Porte Jacquemus to celebrate his deep love for the south of France.

Since the 1930s, Monte-Carlo Beach has been a go-to for ultra-exclusive travelers. With just 40 rooms and suites crafted by renowned architect India Mahdavi, the hotel has always embraced luxury with a personal touch. This summer, it’s getting a bold new look thanks to Jacquemus’s playful and modern aesthetic.

Banana Yellow Vibes and Striped Statements

The transformation begins at the Beach Club, where parasols, sunbeds and towels now glow in Jacquemus’s signature banana yellow. It’s a nod to sunshine, citrus, and that carefree Riviera vibe. The black and coconut-milk-white stripes, pulled from the “La Croisière” collection, also make their mark, wrapping the pier and Pool Café in sharp, monochrome chic.

According to René Blino, general manager of Monte-Carlo Beach, “The project captures the light-hearted glamour of summer in Côte d’Azur. It’s about creating a lifestyle universe where fashion, leisure and design meet.” Every texture, tone and touchpoint was chosen to inspire guests to slow down, take it all in, and feel completely immersed in the Jacquemus vision.

Riviera Retail Therapy

The partnership also includes two new Jacquemus boutiques, nestled right inside the property. These spaces are more than stores. They’re personal expressions of Simon’s design world. Decorated with works by Renoir and Matisse and styled to reflect his own home, the boutiques are a seamless blend of warmth, creativity and effortless cool.

Set in Roquebrune-Cap-Martin, the boutique location couldn’t be more fitting. It adds another dreamy Riviera destination to Jacquemus’s list of magical pop-ups, including spots like the Château de Versailles and the Fondation Maeght.

Where Sustainability Meets Style

While the visuals may steal the spotlight, Monte-Carlo Beach remains deeply committed to sustainability. The hotel has held Green Globe certification since 2014 and continues to prioritize eco-conscious renovations. From energy efficiency and water conservation to sustainable materials, every update reflects a long-term commitment to the planet.

At the same time, the culinary scene is raising the bar. The Elsa restaurant, now boasting a Michelin star, offers a marine garden experience under the guidance of executive chef Marcel Ravin. Every dish features organic, locally sourced ingredients that taste as good as they look.

Guests looking to stay active will love the addition of padel courts. The Olympic-sized pool has also been completely redesigned for a more modern, invigorating swim. And with the refreshed Beach Club, there’s now a stronger focus on community, connection and relaxation.

Interior Glamour with an Artistic Soul

Interior architect Dorothée Delaye reimagined the spaces with a nod to the Mediterranean's rich artistic legacy. Drawing inspiration from Picasso, Raoul Dufy, Fernand Léger and Jean Cocteau, she leaned into the region’s maximalist 1920s charm. Her goal was to mix vintage exuberance with contemporary flair.

Everything from the restaurant furniture to the cabanas was custom-designed in vivid colors and bold patterns. “The Mediterranean maximalism of the Roaring Twenties is an invitation to celebrate beauty, joie de vivre and the art of entertaining,” says Delaye. “It’s a veritable plunge into Monegasque hedonism.”

The result is a hotel that balances timeless elegance with a fresh, youthful twist. Monte-Carlo Beach is no longer just a destination. Thanks to Jacquemus, it’s now a living, breathing postcard of Riviera chic.
