Inside Cartier’s Dazzling Women’s Pavilion at Expo 2025: Where Empowerment and Sustainability Shine Bright
A breathtaking blend of art, architecture, and advocacy, Cartier’s Women’s Pavilion is a rallying cry for a more equitable and sustainable tomorrow.

In a stunning sequel to its debut at Expo 2020 Dubai, Cartier’s Women’s Pavilion has returned for Expo 2025 Osaka, Kansai, and it's rewriting the rules of how architecture and activism intersect. Partnering once again with celebrated Tokyo-based architect Yuko Nagayama, Cartier is making a bold statement: when women thrive, humanity thrives.

A Legacy of Empowerment
The original Women’s Pavilion drew over 340,000 visitors and captivated 50 million viewers with over 120 talks and panels at Expo 2020. Now, at Osaka’s Expo 2025, the mission burns even brighter. This pavilion isn’t just a beautiful space — it’s a living, breathing movement. It's here to create a lasting legacy, igniting conversations that can be passed down through generations while championing sustainable development.
An Architectural Love Letter
Nagayama’s masterstroke from Dubai — a façade inspired by traditional Japanese Kumiko woodworking — finds a new home at Expo 2025. Repurposing the stunning design symbolizes a deeper message: sustainability isn’t just a goal; it’s an ongoing commitment. Nestled next to the Japan Pavilion, the Women's Pavilion is more than a feast for the eyes — it’s a bridge between cultures and eras.

Soundscapes of Hope
Taking the experience even further, multi-award-winning British artist Es Devlin, Global Artistic Lead for the Pavilion, has created a mesmerizing audio journey. Her work invites visitors to imagine a world where communities unite to shape a brighter, more equitable future. It’s art, it’s activism, and it’s absolutely unforgettable.
WA Space: Where Ideas Spark Action
The beating heart of the Pavilion is the WA Space, a lively hub of creativity and collaboration. Panels, talks, exhibitions, and live demonstrations will pulse through this space daily, inviting visitors not just to observe but to join the conversation and become architects of change themselves.
A Universal Call for Change
From April 13 to October 13, 2025, from 9 AM to 9 PM, the Women’s Pavilion will open its doors daily to anyone ready to answer a universal call: to imagine, shape, and commit to a better world — together.
Because when we empower women, we empower humanity. And Cartier is proving once again that true beauty isn’t just worn — it’s built, together.
