Between work, social plans, and finding the perfect avo toast, this city moves at light speed. Just when you think you’ve got your routine down, boom—a new announcement changes the game.

Don’t sweat it! We’ve done the homework, so you don’t have to. Here are the six crucial Dubai changes hitting your calendar in February. Bookmark this, share it, and thank us later!

Culture & Community Get a Major Boost!

Get ready for the beautiful Season of Wulfa! This brand-new, heartwarming initiative is all about celebrating Emirati culture as we lead into Ramadan and Eid Al Fitr. Think of it as a city-wide embrace! Spanning 30 locations with 50 initiatives, it aims to strengthen family bonds and spread authentic local warmth across neighbourhoods, markets, and cultural spots. It's the soulful side of Dubai, coming to a street near you.

The Holy Month Begins

Mark your calendars! Ramadan is expected to begin on Thursday, February 19. This sacred month of fasting from dawn to dusk means the city's rhythm will beautifully shift. Expect adjusted timings for government services like the RTA and potentially extended hours at major malls. Pro tip: Official confirmations on schedule changes are coming soon, so stay tuned!

Road Closure Alert: Marathon & Cycle Mania!

Revise your travel plans on two big Sundays! Major road closures are coming for Dubai's iconic sporting events.

On February 8,  The Burj2Burj marathon returns, closing key roads between the Burj Khalifa and Burj Al Arab.

February 15 will see the Spinneys Dubai 92 Cycle Challenge kick off from Expo City, limiting access on several routes.
The RTA will share specific closure details soon, but consider this your early warning to sleep in or find a fantastic brunch spot nearby!

Airport Parking Goes Seamless with Salik

Salik’s E-Wallet system is now live across 7,400 parking spaces at Terminals 1, 2, 3, and the Cargo Terminal. This means automated, ticketless parking for anyone with a Salik account. The best part? No extra fees and parking tariffs stay the same. Effortless travel for the win!

A "Chilly" Finale to Winter?

Brace for "cold"... Dubai-style! Following the recent "extreme cold season," we're entering Durr Al Thamanin—another cold weather period. Daytime temps are forecast to dip to around 24°C with plenty of sun. So, while it's not exactly ski weather, it’s the perfect excuse to finally wear that chic jacket you bought!
