See Cross Scripts Before It Ends

Location: Lawrie Shabibi

Begin the week with one of the final opportunities to visit Cross Scripts, the summer group exhibition at Lawrie Shabibi.

The exhibition brings together artists and designers who work across traditional creative boundaries. Throughout the gallery, functional objects take on sculptural qualities, jewellery is presented as art and familiar craft techniques are used in unexpected contemporary ways.

Participating names include Hamra Abbas, Sarah Almehairi, Nada Debs, Nadine Kanso, Timo Nasseri and Omar Al Gurg, alongside several other artists and designers.

The exhibition is especially interesting for anyone drawn to work that cannot be placed easily into one category. Some pieces may appear decorative, others practical and others entirely conceptual — but the most compelling works are often all three at once.

Cross Scripts remains open until July 31, making this the final week to see it.

Explore the New SKIMS Store at Dubai Mall

SKIMS has expanded its presence in Dubai with a new store inside Dubai Mall.

The Wild Summer Soirée introduces a selection of Hermès pieces from the So Much Trouble collection into the restaurant’s already dramatic setting. Guests can explore the curated fashion pieces while enjoying exclusive SMT drinks and panoramic views across Dubai.

Afternoon: Discover the Art of Risograph Printing

Location: Tashkeel, Nad Al Sheba 1

Continue the creative day at Khali Balak Men RISO, a group exhibition celebrating the bold colours, layered textures and experimental possibilities of risograph printing.

Curated by Ibrahim Zaki, the exhibition brings together UAE-based artists and designers who have explored the technique through independent practice, workshops and creative collaborations.

The show features posters, cards, prints and experimental works that reveal how risograph printing can introduce new approaches to visual storytelling and image-making.

Participating artists include Ahmed Mansour, Aysha Saif Al Hemrani Al Shamsi, Bassem Boules, Dina Saadi, Ibrahim Zaki, Mariam Abbas, Mohannad Orabi, Nasir Nasrallah, Sara Baali and Weam S. Ali.
