Family Fun at the Museum of Islamic Art
Family Day: Geometrical Shapes

Join the MIA for an immersive Family Day, all about geometrical shapes. A free event in the MIA Atrium, families are invited to be fascinated by a world of geometric forms inspired by the museum's collection. No registration is required, which makes this outing easy and enjoyable for all.
An Artist’s Adventure Workshop (Ages 5-7)

This "An Artist's Adventure" workshop extends an invitation to young children in the magical realm of storytelling and hands-on craft activities. Art Making in Manara

The "Art Making in Manara" workshops can submerge teens into the world of Modern Art. Art Lessons with Ismail Azzam

Join renowned artist and curator Ismail Azzam at the Mathaf: Arab Museum of Modern Art for in-depth art lessons. Learn various portraiture techniques using mediums such as pencil, charcoal, and paint. Join us in celebrating World Tourism Day for the enlightening tour "Hayya To Qatar" in order to learn about the major attractions in Qatar that are connected to the museum's collection. It gives one a special insight into the cultural and historical values of key sites in Qatar.
Storytelling: “I Can Be Anything”

Time: 5 PM – 6 PM
Enjoy an enchanted story time that takes imagination over the limit. Be a part of Zoe's journey into a time in her life when she learns all about what she can be when she grows up. Participants will also get to make a few of their own future drawings. Designed to inspire and entertain.
Tasweer Dialogues: Mixed Media Photography with Nadia Dada
Date: September 13, 2024
Time: 2 PM – 5 PM
Using photography and linocut techniques in combination, join Nadia Dada in this hands-on workshop to see where mixed media takes you. Bringing a photograph of their choice, participants are encouraged to join as artists at the FS Education Studio. This workshop allows participants the creative space to experiment with mixed media.
