Ibn Battuta Mall is expanding with dozens of new shops, restaurants and attractions

One of Dubai’s best-known shopping destinations is preparing for a major new chapter

Ibn Battuta Mall is set to welcome 38 new retail, dining, entertainment and service concepts by the end of 2027, significantly expanding its current offering.

‍

‍

Of those, 21 venues have already opened, while another 17 are expected to launch over the coming year.

The mall, famous for its six themed courts inspired by the journeys of 14th-century explorer Ibn Battuta, continues to evolve more than two decades after first opening.

One of the most notable additions will be a new Roxy Cinemas location, taking over the entertainment space following the closure of Novo Cinemas last year.

Food and beverage will also play a major role in the expansion. New cafés and casual dining concepts including Peet’s Coffee, Ocean Basket, Asia Kitchen and Smoothie Factory are expected to join the mall soon.

They will complement a growing list of recently opened international names such as Five Guys, Jimmy John’s Sandwiches, Marugame Udon and Caribou Coffee, as well as regional concepts including Halla Shawarma, Zaika and Butter & Bread.

Families will also have another reason to visit, with Hopa Loompa Entertainment set to introduce a new leisure attraction designed for both children and adults.

The retail mix is expanding too. Upcoming names include Chemist Warehouse, OWNDAYS, Puzzle Supplements, Midi, My Shops and Cantata, following recent openings from brands such as Jack & Jones, Anta, Tanishq, Magrabi, Mumuso and Duit Sartoria.

Beyond shopping and dining, Ibn Battuta Mall is also increasing the number of everyday services available to nearby residents.

New and upcoming tenants will include businesses across banking, healthcare, education and professional services, with names such as ADCB, Amit Care, Doctor M, Melodica and Desco Copy & Print Centre joining the mix.

According to Dubai Holding, the mall currently attracts around 1.5 million visitors every month and is already home to more than 350 businesses.

With this latest wave of openings, Ibn Battuta Mall is continuing to strengthen its position as a destination combining shopping, dining, entertainment and essential services under one roof.
