Elie Saab Takes Luxury to New Heights with Bombardier's Bespoke Private Jet Interior

The renowned fashion house has entered the world of private aviation, unveiling its first-ever aircraft cabin in collaboration with Bombardier

During Monaco's Formula 1 weekend, Elie Saab introduced an unexpected addition to its growing lifestyle portfolio. Rather than a couture collection or luxury residence, the Lebanese brand revealed a custom-designed cabin for Bombardier's flagship Global 8000 business jet, marking its first venture into aviation design.

Presented at Bombardier's exclusive Aviator Lounge overlooking Monaco's famous harbour, the collaboration reflects a new vision of luxury travel—one where a private aircraft becomes an extension of the home rather than simply a means of transportation.

Known globally for elegant couture and sophisticated interiors, Elie Saab has steadily expanded into architecture, hospitality, and residential design over the past decade. The move into private aviation represents the brand's latest step in creating a complete luxury lifestyle experience.

Instead of relying on bold statements or extravagant details, the cabin embraces a refined, understated aesthetic. A palette of warm neutrals, premium leather, architectural lines, and carefully selected materials creates a calm and inviting atmosphere inspired by contemporary residential living. Natural light plays a central role, enhancing the spacious feel of the interior while reinforcing the sense of comfort and serenity.

At the centre of the design is a generous lounge area created to encourage relaxation, conversation, and effortless travel. More than a seating space, it functions as a sophisticated living environment, reflecting the changing expectations of today's private aviation clients who increasingly value comfort, privacy, and thoughtful design.

According to Elie Saab Jr., the collaboration was approached with the same attention to detail as a haute couture collection.

"We applied the mindset of couture to every aspect of the cabin, carefully selecting materials and refining every detail to create a space that reflects craftsmanship, precision, and timeless elegance."

He added that the project continues the brand's ambition to accompany clients beyond fashion by extending the Elie Saab lifestyle into every aspect of modern living.

For Bombardier President and CEO Éric Martel, the partnership represents more than a design collaboration—it redefines the experience of private flight.

"Our goal was to create an environment that feels seamless and personal. By combining Bombardier's engineering expertise with Elie Saab's design language, we've transformed the cabin into a true extension of luxury living."

The new interior complements the Global 8000's advanced performance capabilities while introducing a distinctly residential atmosphere. Every surface, texture, and proportion has been carefully considered to achieve a balance between innovation, functionality, and refined aesthetics.

Blending the craftsmanship of haute couture with the technical precision required in aviation, the collaboration offers a fresh perspective on private air travel. Rather than simply carrying passengers from one destination to another, the aircraft delivers an immersive luxury experience—bringing the unmistakable world of Elie Saab to 50,000 feet above the ground.
