The Dream Team Behind the Design

So, who do you call to design a landmark? A Pritzker Prize-winning legend, of course!

DUMA is being dreamed into reality by the iconic Japanese architect Tadao Ando. His mission? To capture the very soul of Dubai’s heritage. His breathtaking design is a poetic love letter to two local legends: the sea and the pearl.

Imagine a stunning, five-story building wrapped in a graceful, curved shell. A beautiful, tree-lined promenade will lead you from the water's edge right to its door. And the pièce de résistance? Light will pour through a central opening in the roof, creating a shimmering effect that echoes the luminous glow of a precious pearl. With his signature smooth concrete and harmonious use of light, Ando is building more than a museum. He's crafting an experience.

As Omar Al Futtaim, the project's vice chairman, perfectly put it, Ando’s architecture "speaks the language of light, silence, and soul." Chills!
