That's right! The UAE capital is officially joining the elite club, becoming the seventh city worldwide to host a Disney theme park. It's taking its place alongside icons like Orlando, Paris, and Tokyo. And the best part? It's being built on the epic Yas Island, with local developer Miral handling construction while Disney's legendary imagineers work their creative magic.

The Castle Reveal: It’s Going to Be SPLASH-Tastic!

This is the big news everyone is buzzing about. In a recent YouTube series, Zach Riddley, a senior VP at Walt Disney Imagineering, dropped a major clue about the park's centerpiece.

He confirmed this will be a classic "castle park" (think Magic Kingdom vibes!), but with a historic first: water incorporation.

Yes, you read that correctly! For the very first time ever, a Disney castle will incorporate water into its design. Given that Abu Dhabi is a "city on the water," this makes perfect sense and promises a truly unique and stunning visual.

"Authentically Disney and Distinctly Emirati"

This has been the motto from the start. While the specific theme of the castle is still under wraps (we're on the edge of our seats!), Disney brass are promising it will be a modern castle unlike anything ever created.

Disney Experiences chairman Josh D’Amaro said it will "push the boundaries of theme park design," and CEO Bob Iger himself declared the entire park will be "the most technologically advanced theme park" ever built.
