Dubai’s dining scene is moving into a busy new season. This September brings an eclectic mix of newcomers and returning favourites, spanning Japanese dining, Lebanese comfort food, contemporary Indian cuisine and Italian classics.

There’s also something for those looking beyond the traditional restaurant experience: a botanical beverage laboratory is joining the city’s café scene, while one of Dubai’s most elevated dining destinations is making its return.

AURŌM

Business Bay

This isn’t your typical coffee stop.

Opening at JW Marriott Marquis Dubai, Aurōm is an unlicensed beverage laboratory created in collaboration with The Herball. Its concept revolves around botanicals, extraction and fermentation, bringing a more experimental approach to what goes into your glass.

Expect unusual flavour combinations and drinks designed with the same level of attention usually reserved for a restaurant tasting menu.

GYMKHANA

DIFC

One of Mayfair’s best-known Indian dining names has officially arrived in Dubai.

Gymkhana has opened in Gate Village 7, bringing the character of its London restaurant to a two-level DIFC space inspired by private members’ clubs.

Several signatures from London have made the journey, including kid goat methi keema, aloo chaat and tandoori masala lamb chops. Dubai also gets its own additions, with dishes such as pahadi chicken chops, tomato bharta, wagyu sukka with bone marrow and rasmalai served with Emirati qishta.

LE GUILAN

Downtown Dubai

Le Guilan is taking a more nostalgic approach to Dubai’s latest restaurant wave.

Designed to evoke the atmosphere of a 20th-century manor house, the new Downtown destination combines traditional recipes with interiors rooted in history and culture.

The setting is part of the appeal too, with the restaurant overlooking South Ridge Park — making it an option for anything from a morning visit to dinner.

NOREN

Jumeirah Lake Towers

A new Japanese address has joined JLT.

Noren takes its name from the traditional fabric curtains commonly found at the entrances of Japanese restaurants and shops. Inside, the concept continues with an intimate dining room, sushi counter, central island bar and main grill.

The menu leans into premium Japanese ingredients and bold combinations. Think chutoro, bone marrow glazed with red miso and king crab served with Hokkaido lemon butter.

PEPE CUCINA

JBR

Italian comfort food with an Ain Dubai view? Pepe Cucina has officially opened at Address Beach Resort.

The menu sticks to the kind of Italian classics made for sharing: fried mozzarella, mushroom risotto, homemade meatballs and fresh cannoli are among the dishes on offer.

Pair that with the waterfront setting and it has all the ingredients for a relaxed new JBR dinner spot.

TATTU

Dubai Marina

TATTU is heading back into Dubai’s dining conversation this September.

Located inside Ciel Dubai Marina, the Asian restaurant and sky lounge occupies the 74th and 81st floors, combining dramatic city views with dining and late-evening experiences.

Weekdays bring a business lunch priced at AED 148, while the House of Phoenix-inspired lounge offers a sunset experience with mixed drinks and hot bites for AED 145.

The venue is also expected to introduce live DJ sessions later in the year, adding a nightlife element to its already sky-high setting.
